Here's to 2012! A new year, a new reason to resolve, a new chance to change. Although my New Year's was rung in with excruciatingly achy mouth wounds (darn wisdom teeth) and sparkling grape juice, I didn't need it to be glamorous. I got to make fun of Robert Pattinson with my best friend and spend time with my little brother. All I needed for it to be perfect was for Katie Mosley to let me win at Connect Four (but we all know that's never going to happen -- just like freakin' yard golf. I quit).
2011 was great: European travels, Country Stampede, Forever Loves, first love, time travel, Don Quixote, Ace Gang, and ugly sweaters. I'm a fan, but I'm very excited for the new year. A year to be fearless. A year to take a leap into the dark abyss after graduation and find out there's actually a rope swing and a paddle boat. Fingers crossed, anyway.
I do have one solid piece of news, though. I'm starting off the new year with a publication in a non-university sponsored publication. A poem series I wrote for a class in London just made its debut in the online magazine BlazeVOX 11.
Thanks for reading everyone. Happy New Year. I have a feeling it's going to be a good one.
